We would like to acknowledge and thank our generous CGMS families and community for our treats the first few days of school! Between cakes, snacks, and door prizes we are very thankful to have such wonderful people supporting our school and staff.
Our chocolate fundraiser was kicked off yesterday! We are raising funds for educational supplies and student resources that will benefit all of our students. Our goal is for everyone to participate by selling 1 box of chocolate or more. Last year we were the 2nd highest selling school in the state through the Signature Chocolates fundraiser. To make this process go even smoother and quicker, you can fill out the tech forms and pay all fees prior to Open House! Both of these steps are required to pick up your students' Chromebook. You can find these forms on our website or pictured below! Simply print, complete, and bring with you to Open House! You can also use the link below to pay all fees (including the required Chromebook fee). Thank you for your help!

The weather has not been our friend today! Due to this, the county has had to postpone our Open House scheduled for this afternoon. Please see the image for our new Open House plan. It will be a floating schedule, but everything will go much smoother if these instructions are followed. ATTENTION: Bus Ridership Information
Please read all of the following information regarding bus ridership for 24-25 school year before filling out the Google Form linked at the bottom of this post.
This form is only intended for 2024 - 2025 Chestnut Grove Middle School students.
If your student regularly rode the bus last year as a 5th grader at a feeder elementary school (Pinnacle, Mount Olive, King, Poplar Springs) or as a 6th or 7th grader at Chestnut Grove, you DO NOT need to fill out this form
If you are unsure of your student's bus ridership status last year, or are new to the district, you should fill out the form.
If you have multiple pickup/dropoff locations, please fill out this form for each of those locations (Ex: Morning pickup is at one address and afternoon dropoff is at another address).
This form will be accessible until NOON on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Information regarding bus assignments and approximate pick-up/drop-off times for students already in the system and those who fill out this form will be posted at open house on August 8th and August 12th.

We celebrated the achievements and hard work of our 6th and 7th graders yesterday at our Awards Day!
Students earned the opportunity to visit Arigatos or Dave & Busters for testing out of iReady. This was just one part of our iReady incentive program “The Grove” which built students interest in successfully completing lessons in reading and math. Students also had the opportunity to earn candy, spray paint canvases, make homemade milkshakes, and much more! Way to go Trojans. You made this program successful!
We have had some fun events for our students to close out this school year! They had a blast at our field day last week! Thank you to all the teachers who put this event together for our students.
